Training

Annett Bus Lines requires that drivers and support personnel to go through Initial and Continuing Education courses conducted by our Safety Director. With our main focus on Safety and Driver Education, Annett Bus Lines maintains its competitive edge in being one of the safest travel bus companies in Florida!

Initial Driver Training:

Regardless of a driver’s previous experience, a driver is not allowed to transport passengers for Annett until he/she passes a 40-hour orientation/driving evaluation course. This includes a written test and 250+ mile driving evaluation test with a night-time driving evaluation. This represents an initial investment of approximately $2500 per new driver to make sure every one of our drivers is safe!

Annual Two-Day Refresher Class:

With one day in the classroom and one on the road, this class includes defensive driving techniques and current safety initiative updates.

Bi-Annual Driver’s Safety Meeting:

Meeting is attended by all Drivers, Operations Team, Sales Team and Management. New initiatives are announced and procedures are reviewed.

Supervisory Training:

Training provided for reasonable suspicion of drug and alcohol use per federal motor carrier safety regulations.

Sales Training:

Training course provided to sales team and support staff in hours of service regulations FMCSR Part 395.
