In addition to the “universal rules” – do not speed, do not text and do not drink and drive, here are some helpful tips to hopefully  make your driving more enjoyable this holiday season!

1. Make sure your vehicle is operating properly.  Don’t delay routine maintenance!
2. Plan your route in advance.   Know of road closures and high-traffic areas that you may want to avoid!
3. Drive defensively and don’t respond to aggressive drivers.
4. Get a good night’s sleep the night before and take regular breaks during your journey.
5. Be prepared for an emergency—keep a blanket and flashlight in your trunk.
6. Relax—The right attitude and some preplanning can make even a long drive enjoyable!
